The IRS will delay the start of the 2014 filling season by one to two weeks from the original planned start date of the season. The IRS says it will make a final decision on when  tax season will begin by sometime in December. The IRS notes that there is no advantage to a tax payer to file by paper prior to the start of the filing season, and that taxpayers will receive their  refunds much faster by filing electronically.
